Friday accident injures twoApril 21, 2008 - 9:12am — Kristin HoltzTwo people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon at the intersection of Ripley Street and CSAH 34 Friday. The accident occurred around 4:45 p.m. Friday. Norman Rust of Litchfield and Linda Edmison of Mayer were injured. The extent of their injuries is unknown but one was transported to Meeker County Memorial Hospital, according to the Sheriff's Department. Eight teens cited with alcohol minors SaturdayApril 14, 2008 - 8:52am — Kristin HoltzLitchfield Police cited eight teens for minor consumption of alcohol at an East 2nd Street residence around 1:40 a.m. Saturday. Police were called to the residence on a noise complaint where they cited six people from Litchfield and two St. Cloud men. All were 18 or 19 years old. The police also arrested two Litchfield men, age 24 and 28, for probation violation. All will be appearing in Meeker County District Court on a later date. Litchfield Police were called to a South Gorman Avenue residence at 5:45 a.m. for a possible domestic. Upon the officer’s arrival, the man came out of the residence and left the scene in a vehicle, Chief Patrick Fank said. PAUL- Minnesota law enforcement officers arrested 3,354 impaired drivers during a December-long enforcement campaign.
