The 51st annual Watercade celebration in Litchfield is undergoing its share of changes, including a new parade route through residential areas instead of Sibley Avenue, moving Saturday activities all out to the lake and no 8-mile run Saturday morning. Watercade 2007 is July 5-8.
What do you think of the changes this year? To me, they seem justified, especially with the cost of shutting down the railroad and limiting the movement from the lake to Central Park Saturday. But I know that traditions are hard to break. Tell us what you think.
(You can read about the changes in the April 26's Community section or online, "Spend the weekend at the lake - Watercade makes changes for 2007 celebration.")
