Josh Hagstrom defended his title, shooting rounds of 74 and 78 to win the Island Pine Golf Club Championship Aug. 17 in Atwater.

Hagstrom's two-day total of 152 was four shots better than runner-up Dave Zaeska (76-80–156).

Aaron Zimmer (80-79–159) took third in the men's championship flight.

Chuck Stranberg (78-84-162), Charlie Otto (91-79-170) and Jared Elton (104-102–206) won the men's A, B and C flights, respectively.

Jerry Schoenwether shot 83 to take the senior flight.

Karla Kinzler won the women's championship with a 91.
