Be sure to check out the Meeker County Fair, July 31-Aug. 3.

On July 31 will be the popular Demo Derby. Aug. 1 is Senior Day, when anyone age 65 and older gets in for free, and features two shows of musical entertainment by the Callens family during the day. There will be a Combine Derby at 7 p.m in the Grandstand, as well as “Rockin’ Recess” in the Bandshell from 7-9 p.m, and “Family Feud” from 9-11 p.m.

Aug. 2 features many kids activities throughout the day, including an appearance by the Hutchinson Clown Club, a pedal pull and a stick horse contest. Another Demo Derby takes place at 7 p.m. in the Grandstand, and the “Back Roads Band” will perform in the Beer Garden.

Kids Day on Aug. 3 will wrap up the 136th annual Meeker County Fair, when kids ages 12 and under get in free from noon to 5 p.m. Other events that day include an ecumenical church service, as well as two shows by Sherwin Linton in the Bandshell. A talent show and a motocross show will bring the day to an end.
