The Eden Valley-Watkins softball team lost 7-5 to Kimball in the opening round of the Section 5A-West Tournament May 15 in Kimball.

Brittany Hemmesch Tara Donnay and Keshia Wiechmann each had three hits for the Eagles, who outhit the Cubs 17-8.

EV-W finished its season 2-13 overall.
