A 26-year-old Sacred Heart man has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of aggravated robbery stemming from separate Meeker County robberies last summer.
James Nicholas Dahlager entered his plea March 26 in Meeker County District Court. His sentencing is scheduled for May 28.
The Meeker County charges date back to an armed robbery at Mike's Standard in Eden Valley on June 8 and a July 4 armed robbery at Roger's Grove City Liquor in Grove City. In both incidents, Dahlager entered the businesses with a silver, semiautomatic handgun and demanded cash.
Dahlager, a Level III sex offender, was arrested in August 2007 in connection with 14 armed robberies that occurred last summer throughout Central Minnesota, including the two in Meeker County. He was convicted of robberies in Hennepin and Sibley counties. He is currently serving a nine-year sentence at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Stillwater.
