The Litchfield School Board approved the 2008-09 school calendar Monday.

The calendar, which calls for 176 student days and 184 teacher days, includes two longer breaks in December and March.

Holiday break will be Dec. 24-Jan. 2 with spring break March 23-27.

Holiday, vacation and teacher workshop days are Oct. 16-17, Nov. 3, Nov. 27-28, Jan. 19, Feb. 16, April 10 and May 25.

School starts Sept. 2 and the last day is June 4 with graduation June 7, 2009. The calendar has two snow days built in. If they are not used school will end June 2.
