A Willmar man was sentenced to prison time stemming from an accidental shooting that injured a Litchfield woman.
Brandon Mead, 22, pleaded guilty to dangerous weapon discharge after a Nov. 15 incident in which a woman was struck by the bullet after it traveled through an interior wall of her residence, according to Litchfield Police. The woman had non-life threatening injuries.
Mead was sentenced Feb. 22 in Meeker County District Court to 12 months and one day at the St. Cloud Correctional Facility. He received a five-year stay on the prison sentence, five years supervised probation and $1,217 in fines.
