Litchfield built a 12-0 lead but could not hold off Glencoe-Silver Lake in the State Class AAA semifinals Thursday at Metrodome in Minneapolis.
Glencoe-Silver Lake scored 20 second-half points on its way to a 27-20 win over the Dragons. Glencoe-Silver Lake, 12-1, will play in the state championship game Friday, Nov. 24 at Metrodome.
Litchfield finished the season 11-2 overall.
Kent Johnson led the Litchfield offensive attack, completing 12 of 26 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.
Glencoe-Silver Lake used a punishing ground game, piling up 375 yards rushing. Jon Hoese led the way with 22 carries for 173 yards. Dustin Jurek added 15 carries for 90 yards.
