Two Grove City men were arrested Friday following the investigation of a theft from Host's Stainless Service in rural Watkins.

The business owner called Meeker County Sheriff's Department at 7:25 p.m. Friday to report the theft. he said he saw two people at the business and watched them load scrap steel into their vehicle.

Area law enforcement, including Meeker County Sheriff's Department, Watkins Police Department and Eden Valley Police Department responded to the call. As the suspects' vehicle attempted to elude law enforcement, it lost controll, went into the ditch and got stuck near the intersection of 328th Street and 615th Avenue.

The two occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and are being held in Meeker County Jail while they await formal charges. The value of the crape stainless steel that was taken was not known immediately, as total weight of the scrap had to be determined.
