Urdahl named to House education committee
May 5, 2008 - 2:02pm — Kristin Holtz
State Rep. Dean Urdahl was appointed Monday to the House conference committee in charge of the K-12 Education Policy Bill. Urdahl, R-Grove City, is the only member of the minority party named to the committee by Speaker of the House Margaret Anderson Kelliher. The conference committee will meet during the coming weeks to work out the differences between House and Senate versions of the Education Policy Bill. Urdahl said two of the bigger issues to iron out include a statewide school report card proposal and a sex education provision. A final bill should be sent to Gov. Pawlenty for his authorization before the Legislature adjourns in May.
