One man was killed and another injured in an ATV accident Saturday.

Cory Mitchell Hanson, 33, of Hutchinson died at the scene after authorities were called to an ATV accident on the Crow River, near 120th Street and 630th Avenue, Hutchinson, according to a release by the Meeker County Sheriff's Department.

Daryl Carl Rath, 40, of Hutchinson was transported to Hutchinson Hospital.

Authorities received the 911 call shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday. The 911 caller indicated Hanson was unresponsive and that CPR was being administered.

A preliminary investigation by the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Hanson was riding a Honda TRX 450R four-wheeler westbound on the Crow River when the accident occurred in McLeod County, the release stated.

The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident. Other units assisting at the scene included the Hutchinson Ambulance, Hutchinson Fire/Rescue and the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.
