Rural Grove City home destroyed by fire

The Grove City Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday evening.

Crews were dispatched to 56395 245th Street, Grove City, where they found the house, owned by Mark Marvin Kohout, completely engulfed in flames, according to the Meeker County Sheriff's Department.

No one was still in the house when Fire and Rescue arrived, Kohout told authorities. Litchfield Fire Department was called for mutual aid.

The house was totally destroyed by the fire. The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall are investigating.
