Three items reported stolen from a Willmar citizen were recovered Tuesday by the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a Meeker County press release, the Willmar Police Department took a complaint reporting the theft of a 6x9 utility trailer, a John Deere lawn tractor and a Hardi brand garden sprayer on July 26. The items were estimated to be worth $9,100.
Tuesday, a hired hand in Forest City Township found the stolen objects in a grove of trees, and subsequently called the local John Deere dealership with the lawn tractor’s serial number. The serial number was flagged as being reported stolen, and the Willmar Police Department requested the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office to respond.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office removed the items and transported them to the Meeker County Impound. Both agencies are continuing the investigation of the stolen property.
