A heavy band of rain pushed through Litchfield around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The storm broke this branch outside Center National Bank, as well as pulled down several power and light poles, according to the Meeker County Sheriff's Office. The strongest storms swept through the northern part of the county.
Strong storms could likely rumble through late this afternoon (Friday) into early evening, according to the National Weather Service. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds.
Friday will be mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 93. Breezy, with a south wind between 14 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.
