The Minnesota Department of Transportation, in partnership with the city of Litchfield, Meeker County and Mid-Minnesota Regional Development Commission will host an open house Oct. 18 at the Meeker County Courthouse in Litchfield.

The purpose of the open house is to gather opinions from the public to gain a better understanding of the issues, needs and opportunities to develop a long-range transportation plan for the Litchfield area. Findings from the open house will assist the partnering agencies in planning the community's future roadway system and will be included in the updated city of Litchfield's Comprehensive Plan.

The open house will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Meeker County Courthouse (lower level conference room), 325 Sibley Ave. N. Staff from Mn/DOT, Meeker County, Mid-Minnesota Regional Development Commission, city of Litchfield and engineering consultants Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc will conduct an informal discussion during the open house.
