Crews working on Litchfield street projects
August 6, 2008 - 8:39am — Kristin Holtz
Litchfield residents are asked to watch for no parking signs on city streets, as crews are in the middle of an approximately $500,000 street overlay project. Litchfield Public Workforce Coordinator Mario Provencher said construction crews will be laying blacktop on approximately 50 blocks around town in the coming days. Public Works employees are also in the midst of the annual Dutch Elm tree cut. Provencher said the city will be cutting down approximately 180 infected trees on city boulevards. While down from 2007, the number of trees is slightly higher than normal, he said.
