Luce Line Railroad Club Inc., a 20-member 100-percent National Model Railroad Association club, hosts this annual model railroad show at the McLeod County Fairgrounds, 780 Century Ave. S.W., Hutchinson. This is a fun event for the whole family

The day includes several operating model railroads in several scales, a large flea market of people selling new and used model railroad equipment and railroad books, videos and memorabilia. There will also be a popular vote model contests, clinics and an hourly door prize drawing.

Descendants of a Dakota Indian chief will speak Sunday at the Litchfield G.A.R. Hall.

Verna Francisco and Rose Galkowsky are the great-granddaughters of Standing Buffalo, an instrumental figure in the Dakota Conflict of 1862.

The women have family history on both sides of the Dakota Conflict and will speak about Dakota Indian heritage at 1:30 p.m Sunday at the hall, 308 N. Marshall Ave.

The presentation is hosted by the Meeker County Historical Society. For more information, call 693-8911.
