Plans for Litchfield’s 52nd annual Watercade festival are flowing right along with many fun activities and events planned for July 10-13.
It starts a little earlier on July 7, when the search for the medallion officially begins with clues available at the Independent Review and KLFD AM 1410. The winner will receive $200 if he or she has a 2008 Watercade button, $100 if not.
The 2008 Concerts in the Park performances will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. most Thursdays in the summer in the Bandstand.

The Women’s Tea Group and Lighthouse Church plan a Mexican Fiesta July 19 at Carlito’s Restaurant on U.S. Highway 12 East in Litchfield. There will be a Combine Derby at 7 p.m in the Grandstand, as well as “Rockin’ Recess” in the Bandshell from 7-9 p.m, and “Family Feud” from 9-11 p.m.

There will be a Combine Derby at 7 p.m in the Grandstand, as well as “Rockin’ Recess” in the Bandshell from 7-9 p.m, and “Family Feud” from 9-11 p.m.

Events start Friday evening with the Little Miss Watkins pageant at 7:30 p.m. in the park. The cow drop follows at 9 p.m.
Saturday is full of activities, beginning early in the morning with a volleyball tournament. The parade is at 10:30 a.m. A kids’ fest run from noon to 4 p.m.
Also, Saturday are hot air balloon rides, a kids’ pedal tractor pull, petting zoo, bean bag tournament and car show. Firemen’s waterball fight also Saturday.
