Plans for Litchfield’s 52nd annual Watercade festival are flowing right along with many fun activities and events planned for July 10-13.

It starts a little earlier on July 7, when the search for the medallion officially begins with clues available at the Independent Review and KLFD AM 1410. The winner will receive $200 if he or she has a 2008 Watercade button, $100 if not.

The 2008 Concerts in the Park performances will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. most Thursdays in the summer in the Bandstand.

On July 31 will be the popular Demo Derby. Aug. 1 is Senior Day, when anyone age 65 and older gets in for free, and features two shows of musical entertainment by the Callens family during the day. There will be a Combine Derby at 7 p.m in the Grandstand, as well as “Rockin’ Recess” in the Bandshell from 7-9 p.m, and “Family Feud” from 9-11 p.m.
