If anyone is interested in donating to the cause there has been a Trust Fund set up for Brenda at Farmers State Bank of Watkins. Any contributions can made in care of Brenda Carlson. She is also accepting gift cards for things she will now need. Stores such as Target, Walmart, Bath and Body, pretty much anywhere would be accepted. This tragedy happened to someone known to a lot of people. There is a benefit in the plans already for her. She is a great woman who lost everything but the clothes on her back that night. If anyone is willing to donate to a fund for her, please let me know and spread the word, as any help is needed this holiday season. For more info, please contact me at zippychic_2001@hotmail.com. I was very sad to see this barn burnt to the ground today. I often go to that property to reflect because of the peacefulness that surrounds you as you drive in. I was trying to buy this land and barn, a beautiful old dairy barn, for myself and my business. On my arrival out there today, my heart just sank. That is all that was left of the old Henderson place after the farmhouse was also set ablaze by punks goofing around, as I was told by the current owner, who is the son of the original owner. (My own words were inserted.) It's not just an old barn that burned down, so much history has been lost, and my own dreams of living on that beautiful property have been dashed. I really hope that if this is a case of arson, kids, etc., someone will pay.
