I think that we need a visionary in the Democratic party. Clinton and Obama are not that. Clinton is overshadowed by her husband's last minute pardons of people like Mark Rich, her former business partner. Not too mention much of the public perceives her as an Ice Queen. Obama is an unknown when it comes to real leadership skills. He is in my view a Public Relations Image, much like the figurehead we now call president.

The Democratic field needs diversification. The country is going down the tubes under the uber rich pawns called Republicans. The Democrats need to find a viable candidate to compete with a Giuliani or McCain.

Al Gore is still a darkhorse in the race. Not many people can say I told you so after eight years of idiotic Bush rule. Al Gore can, and that is perhaps the strongest trait a candidate can have. The question remains though, will he run?

Who do you think should be the Democratic nominee for president in 2008 and why? I'm interested in seeing which way the Litchfield area is leaning...
