Lori...I dont want to get in a debate over the Co Atty's office, however I think you have the wrong impression of our current county attorney as far as her relationship with the sheriffs dept. I dont believe she will protect the sheriff any more than she is required to do as part of her job. As untimely as it may be on occasion, since she is the County Attorney, part of her job is to represent the county in legal matters.

It is obvious that there is a reason to keep the case open. Perhaps they are still collecting information. I hope Hirman doesn't think he is completely off the hook and goes right back to his dirty ways. For example..... about a year ago you peppered sprayed an inmate in the Meeker County jail, he was locked in his cell, then you refused to let him shower for 3 days.....remember him? Or, did that happen so often that you can't remember? Well, he will never forget it!! I know this young man very well and I have told him that he should speak to an attorney about another lawsuit!! What was done to him is illegal as well!!!
I hope the public and some of the ex-employees now realize how important it is for them to get their information to the FBI!!! Quit sitting on your butts and expecting everyone else to talk....it's time to make a change!!! As for Beckman, I think it's the first smart thing she has done for this county and I think she pretty much had too!!! If she can protect Hirman in any way, shape or form, I believe she will!!!

Just because the US Attorney's office declined to prosecute, does not mean that this issue is over with. Far from it. It is very commonplace for the Feds to decline prosecution and defer it to the state level for charging. The high Sheriff knows that. Meeker Co Atty Beckman is doing the right thing by transferring the case to Anoka Co. I also noted in the story that the Feds are still keeping this issue open for awhile....hmmm, wonder why they would want to keep it open if there was nothing to the story???

Hey Stan it looks like your mystery is going to be solved soon. KLFD is reporting that the attorney in Anoka is looking at the FBI case for criminal charges. I wonder who could be facing criminal charges? It's not a good day when the FBI comes in to investigate a certain department then they send the file to a prosecutor for charging purposes.

one wouldnt of repeated anything if posters statements hadnt been removed. If thier info was still there I wouldnt of ask so many questions or thought that the other "overley informed" posters have a agenda for the county. When statements have been removed it gives one the appearance of being one sided. I think most people would have been mature enough to look past anger in their statements (understandably angry).It looks as if only a few posters that the paper agrees with gets to stay on this site.Or if anyone challanges others statements or says something some dont agree with then look what happened people not talking some again not trusting anyone and feeling that there is no one who would believe them all because a few didnt want to hear thier truths.When intoducing such a toxic subject such as this on a open forum one should have prepared themselves to be reading very controversial statements.This is a democratic country not a policed one.

I am not trying to be a knowitall here but does anyone realy believe that the FBI would release any info. to anyone in meeker even meeker employee's I DONT THINK SO. I dont believe for one nano second that they would . That would sink the investigation.If any one leaked the info. and it had a trickle down effect the intire investigation would be ruined. I dont beleive that they would risk this after being here for 2 yrs. or for any reason for that matter. It is very apparent that they wouldnt trust anyone of those employee's in the courthouse. Thats the whole reason they are investigating.Untrustworthy county employee's.Common sense tell's me some would like to have you believe it. They must need some kind of recognition but thats just my opinion.If the FBI did release info it runs the risk of stepping on those possibly being acused civil rights.They have been here 2 yrs. and they just revealed themselves this past dec. that tells me they already have found what they were here for.They have spoke to many that have called them.so Im sure the time needed since then is to verify those callers claims.So..I think that being enough said I hope you realy think about this and ask yourself does any of this make sense?If nothing else call the FBI ask them for yourselves. Slueth, Hello you still out there? Boy put the possibility out there and everyone hides. I noticed you didnt pipe in. I like the way you did when justice seeker figured out what yweleave was all about. I think some try and run this site with thier comments on how things are. Tends to chase some away or it seems some trust what they have said. Much like we used to trust the sheriffs office. Not me though. I know that there is alot about the way some cases are handled.Some are unfamiliar with the protocal.Most people dont find the need for that kind of knowledge.But I plan on staying right here and help as much as one can. JimDandy, As you can see the time of this post I had a very hard time sleeping. My mind kept pondering at the thought that only the FBI knows what is happening. We as posters including you have no more info. or anything else. I know that even you a former county employee would not get any info. as much as the reg. Joe's of this community.You as well as YWeleave may know what might have gone on before you left there emplyment for what ever your reasons that only you would know.But much looks to have occured since you have left.I thought that this paper when it oened up this very controverial topic on a open furom that it would be very "open and uncensured" What else would one expect to hear on this forum?People of this community thought they could express there views, feelings yes even angry,stories yes even though they sound outragous,and all the possibilty's of what "could be". but I guess that's just realy not the case here is it?

My mother in law told me a few minutes ago that her moms neighbor heard that Sheriff Mike Hirman was arrested yesterday for some kind of drug thing!!!!!! Is there any truth to this is?? Maybe this is what the feds were doing here to invesigate mike hirman or somthing??
