Does anyone have any more information on this? just curious as to where this situation is at . Sounds like the people in this area got big problems with bad cops and county people. Has anyone filed any actions against them. someone should get one going. How do you guys sleep at night with all this bad stuff happening and no trusted protection. sounds like you need the military to protect you. good luck you people need it. I hope they all go to jail.

Yes alot of the post are mine however you have no idea of how many personal e-mails that have flooded into my mail account that are great!You have to remember after what occurred here, have made some "post shy",and some just like reading it.People can post if they want or not 1000+hits says it more than likely will happen, So for the rest of those out there enjoying it I say thank you!To the rest that dont oh well, like our site say's we are first amendment friendly!We like everybody.We even thank you for being interested enough and to be not offended to at least check it out your comment is greatly appreciated and will share it on our site.Lets not get off the thread here it is about the sheriff and the FBI.We sure would love a update on this FBI investigation .The people of meeker are nervously waiting for some good news!

I thank you for responding. My list was just a mere example of what could be and a few leaned on reality. I know the Lfd PD has nothing to do with it. My whole point was where it lead too.And yes the sign in your yard thing or who one would vote for does play a role. Thats just what happened to our family the election of 98.We stood up against sheriff H. during the dassel parade and told him he wasnt going to be re-elected this was infront of everyone in the town. He must of been aggitated over the whole thing because since that time never has the sheriff responded to our families needs. I actually had to hire a private detective to help me with our family. This private detective actually worked for meeker county for years and does know what goes on inside. I trust this agency wholeheartedly. I hope if this agency had anything to do with the pending investigations that they are rewarded highly by the people of Meeker. Again I thankyou for your responce. people like you keep people like me informed of what is real!

justice seeker I had decided not to post anymore, but here goes...

By statue the sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer of the county.

The Sheriff has little to nothing to do with Litchfield PD, as you saw in the original story, Litch PD is not worried about this investigation.

I believe this investigation has nothing to do with social service, or forclosures.

The treatment of inmates is not a issue, but things that have happened in the jail are at issue.

People have said who's campain sign was in your yard does have a impact on the follow up of your complaint.

The sheriff can and does tell the deputies what to do, that is why it is nice to have young deputies who are under your thumb. You can tell them what to do, even if it is not right ( change reports, change tickets, ect).

Many people hope at least the top 3 go.

I believe the inv. started as long ago as 2 years and with interviews in town this past spring.

I believe Grand Jury hearings will start 90-120 days from the day tha FBI was in town.

I too believe people will be charged.

Jim Dandy let me explain my reasoning behind ALL of the county.
1.The sheriff is the top dog
2.all police actions directed by sheriff
3.any soc. service chips must go thru victom's advocate (again sheriff related)
4.any and all home forclosures again thru sheriffs dept for auction.
5.any and all vehicle impoundment and forfiture,again thru the sheriffs dept.
6.The treatment of jail inmates again sheriff related.
7.who's complaints are investigated again sheriff related.
8.Who tells the deputie how to do there job?the sheriff.

I could go on and on but the fact of the matter is all deeds done unto the employee's and people of meeker county is under the direction of the sheriff and those higher ups who hold our fates in there hands.

I beleive that the sheriff will defintly be charged how ever what about those who hold the higher powers are they not guilty as well?

I hope the sheriff has the brains enough to know to not go it alone but roll over on those who supported him and gave there blessings to railroad people and profit from them by profit I dont mean in just a monitary way but personal satisfation as well. This administration is about to find out you cannot supress the people of meeker county anymore!!!!

Jim Dandy, Do you think that this investigation will wrap up in the next 30 days? I have recieved info. that the FBI has been in meeker for 2yrs. I believe that there are many reasons that they are here and that it possibly involves ALL of the county.any thoughts here?

My mother in law told me a few minutes ago that her moms neighbor heard that Sheriff Mike Hirman was arrested yesterday for some kind of drug thing!!!!!! Is there any truth to this is?? Maybe this is what the feds were doing here to invesigate mike hirman or somthing??
