The one that gets me is "cream of the crop" - what is one person's "cream" may be another's "sour milk"! I hate reading glowing reports about supposed great people, when I may happen to think they are not so great.

Have you ever listened to a lecture with a speaker who uses so many cliches that you leave wondering if the speaker said anything at all? What does the cliché “easy as pie” mean?
