World Series 2007
October 2, 2007 - 2:33pm — Kristin Holtz
Playoffs for the 2007 World Series officially begin tomorrow. Who do you see in the series, and who will win it all?
American League National League
A couple of interesting notes: *At the All-Star break, the New York Mets, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers were the top four teams in the National League. None made the playoffs.

I picked the Mets vs....
Back to page topI picked the Mets vs. Indians last spring, but that theory tanked when the Mets blew a seven-game lead in the National League East by losing 12 of its final 17 games.
I'll stick with Cleveland, but I have NO IDEA on the National League. Those teams have been bottom feeders in their divisions for so long, I can't name you half a dozen guys on any of the teams, except maybe the Phillies who have some Twins rejects.
I'm going to go with Chicago despite any curse. However, to be honest, I'd prefer any of the other team to make it to the World Series. But I think it's the Cubs who will be playing Cleveland Oct. 24. And my winner? The Indians.
Whatever happens, I think taking the American League team will prove to be the safest bet.
