Annoying cliches

Have you ever listened to a lecture with a speaker who uses so many cliches that you leave wondering if the speaker said anything at all? What does the cliché “easy as pie” mean? How about “the apple of his eye”? Cliches are so easy to fall into when writing and speaking, yet they can be very annoying. What’s cliches annoy you?
